Player Pianos and Parts on offer

David Wragg, a long-standing PPG member who was also the NWPPA's Technical Adviser, died suddenly before Christmas and is much missed.  He was a very kind, modest and generous person who was also immensely knowledgeable on reproducing pianos and was an excellent restorer.

While his main restored and unrestored instruments have already found new homes, five unrestored upright player pianos and an unrestored upright pedal-electric Ampico piano are still available and his family are open to offers on these.  Comments on condition are impressions only and are based on rather a brief visual inspection with (in most cases) accessibility rather limited by the way they are stored,
- An unusual Marque Ampico (pedal-electric) upright in an unbranded piano
- A Richard Lipp Kastner Autopiano in a lightish case, completely dismantled (down to an unstrung back)
- A Hopkinson Carola pedal-only 88-note player in a medium ?mahogany case.
- Two 88 note Weber pianolas (pedal only), dark cases
- One 88 note Steck pianola (pedal only), medium mahogany

Also there is a large quantity of general (mostly Aeolian) spares there are (if not already sold or under offer) reproducing systems and/or components from Welte Licensee, Duo-Art and Ampico instruments.

The family are now wanting to progress this quite quickly (before late July).

If interested in the first instance please contact Arthur Jones (NWPPA publicity officer) on 07956 403989 or nwppa_publicity@btinternet.com
